Diverse focus and perspectives have
always been important ingredients for Global Learning’s engagements.
Here is a selection of other activities that Global Learning is excited
to currently be involved in.
Marine Education Trust (MET)
Nina has currently spent 4 weeks in Rodrigues and Mauritius in the
Indian Ocean on behalf of Marine Education Trust to visit Shoals
Rodrigues- a marine centre that MET supports and have very close
to their hearts. The trip also included expanding knowledge and contacts
in the Indian Ocean for MET’s further work and support of regional
marine conservation and initiatives.

Global Learning from the Arctic to the Antarctic-
“What Remains of Us” at
the Tromsø International
Film Festival (www.tiff.no).
Global Learning is proud to have represented the film What Remains
of Us at the 10th annual International Film Festival in Tromsoe 15th-20th
of January.
What Remains of Us gives the Tibetan people inside
Tibet a unique opportunity to tell their story about how their lives
are today, their hopes, fears and thoughts about the future. With a
taped message from Dalai Lama to his people, Kalsang Dolma a Tibetan
refugee born in exile in India travels around in Tibet. The film is
made without the knowledge of the Chinese authorities.

Joining the CEO college in Antarctica
Global Learning and Nina Ness are very pleased to be able to join the
global organisation CEO for their college cruise in the Antarctic
from January 25th to Feb 4th.
CEO is a community that connects more

Global Learning participating in UNEP’s Global Children Conference
on the Environment
The Tunza International Children’s Conference is a global youth
forum of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) that brings
together about 1000 young environmentalists from all over the world
to share knowledge and experiences on the environment.
Global learning is pleased to host the workshop Underwater Fieldtrip
for this year’s event “Creating Change” in Stavanger
Norway from 17th to 21st of June. Global Learning will also head up Action Groups during the conference week.
UNEP's Tunza conferences are based on Agenda 21, which states that
children and youth must be active in decisions concerning the future
environment, and that governments should create arenas where their
